Sorry for the lack of activity on here over the past couple of days I've had quite a hectic weekend.
I'm back now and going to start off about a pair of ripped jeans I made today.
I posted a picture on my Instagram a couple of days ago of these ASOS black ripped jeans i ordered;
If anything i was expecting them to be small but they came up HUGE on me, I was gutted cos I was so excited to wear them and do a post on them, but it will have to wait until I get the ones that fit. By nature I am VERY impatient and I really wanted a pair today! I remembered a pair of boring black jeans I had so I thought I would experiment.
I started off with just the knees, cut a simple line in each side, however from speaking to other fellow bloggers and looking at other ripped jeans I have found that the knee holes are never big enough, and can never look obvious enough, only when the knee is bent. This is the fabulous thing about making them yourself, you can customize them and make the holes as big/small as you like! So i actually cut a big hole in each the knee, and I then added some more rips on my left thigh as I thought they looked quite plain. Again with these rips I did cut a small hole out of each one as they didn't show enough. I frayed each hole and they were complete!
This was the end result, I was really happy with how they turned out!
I think Jerry Pug was too!!
Hope you guys like and this inspires you to make your own, or if you have done this to any of your jeans i'd love to know any other handy techniques! Happy D.I.Y- ing
