I do apologise about my lack of posts recently, I surprised my boyfriend for his birthday and took him to amsterdam, so i'm not that sorry really...
As I was away I feel a bit out of the loop with whats been going on (sad I know) but i've missed reading up on everyone's blogs etc, so I thought I would instead feast my eyes on the beautiful outfits worn by all our fashion favourites to the British Fashion Awards yesterday held at the London Coliseum.
So this blog post is basically a few of my favourite looks worn to the event, who whore who, and who won what!
1. Emma Watson.
Emma Watson wore a wide legged halter neck jumpsuit from the new-york based designer Misha Nonoo's SS15 collection teamed with a blue Dior jacket blazer. As well as obtaining a gorgeous simple monochrome look she managed to win the British Style Award, which was the only award voted by the public, and I think she deserved every bit of it. What I like about Emma Watson's style is that she is quite plain with it, because she doesn't have to try and be all fancy, she is a natural beauty and her fashion sense matches that.
2.Alexa Chung.
Alexa is a style queen, here she is wearing a silver collared ankle length dress, designed by Emilia Wickstead, I think this is one of my favourite looks purely because of the bag, it is a Charlotte Olympia take-away box style bag, covered in ornate chinese insects. Alexa Chung has been one of the biggest names in the fashion industry over the past years, she is an ambassador for the British Fashion Council and had won the British Style Award 3 years in a row, 2011-2013, does anyone need to ask why? I love how she always puts her own quirky twists on her outfits.
3. Anna Kendrick.
The 'Up In Air' Star wore a Victoria Beckham pink dress and Christian Louboutin shoes and bag. This is on my favourite list because of the pure simplicity of the outfit, she gives definition to the term, 'less is more', with everything about the outfit kept as minimal as possible, her hair, make-up, everything is non-dramatic but boy does it have an over all effect, so ladylike and classy.
4. Posh & Becks.
That brings me on to probably my favourite celebrity couple, the King and Queen of what is the beautiful Beckham family. Here David is wearing a Dior suit, and Victoria is wearing.... herself of course! Again, they look simple in monochrome and pull it off because well, they are both perfect humans, what can't they pull off? Victoria picked up the award for Best Brand for her fashion line, and rightly so.
5.Nicole Scherziner & Lewis Hamilton.
A close runner up to my favourite dressed couple are Nicole and Lewis, but how can you beat the Beckhams? Although I must admit they should get an award for the best looking, they are a gorgeous pair! Nicole was wearing a Julien Macdonald designed dressed which The Formula One champion co-ordinated so well with his grey dapper suit and dark berry detail to match Nicole's.
6. Kendall Jenner
Kendall Jenner is taking the model world by storm currently and has recently been made the new face of Estée Lauder, following in Kim's footsteps she seems to be becoming one of the most successful of the kardashian klan. She wore an Emilio Pucci jumpsuit to the awards, the monochrome and pop of colour on her red lips is a great combination.
7. Rita Ora
Rita Ora not only rocked an amazing Tom Ford number to the fashion awards but she accompanied him too! I've always loved her style, quirky and unique and that has been showed in her outfit to the awards, no one could of been more perfect for it, she looked amazing!
8.Harry Styles
Harry Styles is never one to blend in and he achieved just that by showing up in a red Lanvin striped suit, he was one of my favourite dressed men because I liked the quirkiness of the suit and the fact he opted for something with a bit more character rather than the standard tux.
9.Michelle Dockery
Michelle looked flawless in a high neck floral Erdem dress. The downtown abbey star keeps to the vintage style both on and off set, and this dress is no exception with an early 1940s feel to it.
10. Lilly Allen
Last but in no way at all least is one of my favourite fashion idols Lilly Allen, and I was not surprised when I found out she wore a blue Vivienne Westwood dress (Vivienne being my favourite designer ever) to the awards. I love how in true Lilly style she manages to add her own quirk to it by wearing cute little pink gold tipped devil horns. I think this is my favourite look from the evening, I love everything about it!
